Counselling Therapy Services
Providing a safe, confidential, and supportive space to explore thoughts, feelings, and life challenges. Through evidence-based approaches, the objective is to help individuals navigate a wide range of issues, including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, and life transitions.
Services typically include:
- Individual Counselling: Personalized sessions to address emotional, mental, and behavioural challenges, supporting self-awareness, resilience, and personal growth.
- Trauma & Stress Support: Techniques such as mindfulness, coping strategies, and trauma-informed care to process and manage past and present stressors.
- Behavioural & Emotional Regulation: Support for managing emotions, developing coping strategies, and enhancing overall well-being.
- Goal-Oriented Guidance: Collaborative planning to set and achieve personal, professional, or relational goals.
The focus is to empower clients to understand themselves better, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives. Each session is tailored to meet individual needs, fostering growth, healing, and resilience.
Occupational Therapy (Mental Health and Addictions)
Occupational Therapy (OT) services focused on supporting individuals experiencing challenges related to mental health and addiction. Using a holistic and functional approach, I work with clients to understand how their symptoms, habits, and daily routines impact their overall well-being and participation in meaningful activities.
Services include (but are not limited to) :
- Comprehensive Functional Assessment: Evaluation of current abilities, barriers, and supports across daily life domains, including self-care, productivity, and leisure.
- Collaborative Treatment Planning: Goal-setting and individualized intervention plans that align with the client’s values, priorities, and readiness for change.
- Activation & Functional Rehabilitation: Structured support to increase engagement in daily routines, improve motivation, and build skills for healthier, more meaningful participation in life activities.
-Psychoeducation: Practical education for clients and/or caregivers on mental health, addiction, coping strategies, routine development, and the impact of symptoms on daily functioning.
- 1:1 Counselling Within OT Scope: Therapeutic conversations and interventions to support emotional regulation, stress management, problem-solving, and improving overall mental wellness.
- Skill-Building & Support: Assistance in developing functional skills such as organization, executive functioning, sensory modulation, and healthy lifestyle habits.
OT mental health services aim to help clients reconnect with meaningful roles and routines, build capacity, and regain a sense of control and balance in daily life—while supporting long-term recovery and improved quality of life. The aim is to empower clients to understand themselves better, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives. Each session is tailored to meet individual needs, fostering growth, healing, and resilience.
Please note: I do not provide home safety assessments, paediatric OT, or complex physical rehabilitation services.
